Tendani Lukhaimane

Tendani holds Bsc (Honours) in Geology from the University of Free State. Upon completing her degree, she joined the mining and minerals industry and has over two years’ experience in both underground and surface mining. In growing her career and building her personal brand, she hosted numerous events as a master of ceremony at BHP Billiton and she has been a key player in improving interactions between the operations and local communities.

Given her burning passion for social development, she was elected Head of Community Development and Vice President for the BHP Billiton Graduate Forum. She is now a proud standing alumni of the rigorous program of the BHP Billiton Foundations for graduate program in partnership with Melbourne Business School of Sydney, Australia. She continues to champion community development initiatives for the operation she works in. She is the epitome of true diversity, with problem solving skills, complemented by her great personality. She has demonstrated her leadership potential, representing South on international front as one of the sixteen hostesses of the 2010 World Cup interacting with international stars. With her burning desire to help younger generations realise their dreams, she brings her knowledge, passion and professionalism to Takalani Foundation.
