In the upcoming fundraising gala dinner, on Saturday 5 May 2018, under the theme “Innovation for Social Impact“, we are hosting Ms. Sandiso Sibisi.
Sandiso is an intrapreneur leading Accenture’s Open Innovation for Africa where she bridges the gap between innovative products developed by start-ups and the needs of Accenture’s corporate clients, forming corporate-start-up partnerships to solve business problems and in parallel accelerating entrepreneurial growth.
She is passionate about development therefore, founded the Born to Succeed programme that is curbing the steep youth unemployment rate in South Africa through education, mentorship and forming private sector alliances.
Sandiso is also the former Deputy Chairman of Advancement of Black Accountants South Africa Bursary Fund, which addresses the challenges faced by previously disadvantaged learners in accessing institutions of higher learning due to funding constraints.
She was also selected from a pool of 4000 applications from South Africa to participate in the Mandela Washington Fellowship 2016 in the U.S. During November 2016.
Sandiso represented South Africa at the World Bank Youth Summit 2016, Washington DC by sharing ‘Khwela’, an EdTech platform that provides affordable tertiary education for marginalised groups.
Amongst other accolades she is a Sustainable Development Goals ambassador inaugurated by Ambassador Dessima Williams in Canada, Mzansi’s 100 Inspiring and Aspiring Leaders and a Play Your Part Ambassador with Brand South Africa.
